With our latest 3.8.45 mobile release, we've improved automatic camera uploads on both iOS and Android so your photos back up faster and with fewer interruptions. If you've experienced stalled uploads or long gaps before photos appeared in Sync, this update will help.

iOS

What’s improved

With this update, photo and video uploads run more efficiently in the background, with fewer delays and interruptions. Uploads now process concurrently, so a few large videos won’t hold up the rest of your camera roll.

We’ve also modernized iOS background processing, ensuring uploads run longer and more consistently over time.

Alongside these camera upload improvements, this release includes fixes for failed uploads, login issues, and overall app stability, making this our best iOS app yet!

Designed to handle your full photo library

These improvements are especially noticeable for large photo libraries. In our testing, libraries with tens of thousands of photos uploaded 2–3x faster overall, significantly reducing the total time needed to back up your collection.

Now supports Liquid Glass

SYNC FOR iOS · 3.8.45 (2)

This release is built on Apple’s latest iOS SDK and introduces a new Liquid Glass design theme to the menu bar. You’ll notice cleaner, more modern-looking transitions that better match the latest iOS experience.

Update to Sync for iOS 3.8.45 to get the latest camera upload improvements and refreshed Liquid Glass design.

Android

What's improved

Version 3.8.45 also improves the Android app experience. We implemented a fix for Android 16 camera uploads, resolving the issue where changes to the media permissions caused uploads to stall.

Additionally, copying files is also more reliable, so transfers will complete as expected even if your device goes to sleep mid-transfer. We’ve also fixed various login and image preview issues, making this an overall smoother and more stable Android experience.
