A steep learning curve
Homeschooling is on the rise, with more parents than ever before giving their children a more personalized path to learning, from the comfort of home. Technology has made distance-learning practical, but for the collaborative team at Global Village School, technology was getting in the way.
With most of their team working remotely, the technology they relied on was slowing them down. "Emailing individual files back and forth between team members was tedious" explained Tanya MacGumerait, Director of Operations at Global Village School. "And we tried using Google Drive to share large design files, but it didn’t always work out."
With inspired curriculum to create, families to support, and a non-profit budget to adhere to, Global Village School turned to Sync to support their remote work needs.
Sync helped Global Village School get technology working for them, with easy-to-use cloud storage and file sharing features that instantly enabled collaboration from a distance.
Sync’s team shared folders feature gives Global Village School’s remote employees a centralized location to access the files they need, right from their computers and mobile devices. And everything is backed up and synced automatically. "Sync makes it simple for our off-site team to access what they need, when they need it," said MacGumerait. No more tedious email sharing.
Working with large, complex digital design files is easier with Sync too. Because the team can access everything directly from their desktop, "uploading documents with significant design elements, such as our curriculum guides, works so much better with Sync," said MacGumerait.
Global Village School empowers future generations to care for themselves, their communities, and the environment through inspiring education. "We envision a vibrant, diverse world where people live authentic and meaningful lives," MacGumerait said. Sync is part of their toolkit for educational success.
